Real Ale if you haven’t heard of it is a very overrated underrated brewery. No, that isn’t a typo. They have some sensational beers but for some reason are really well know for their weakest beer the fireman 4. Rio Blanco Pale Ale and the Brown Ale  are both very good but the seasonal coffee porter has a case to be their very best best.

If you like porter and you like coffee this beer is for you. Actually, I don’t even like coffee and I love this beer. This is a thick dark beer with big bold flavors and strong hints of coffee. Most times a brewery tries to make a beer taste like something not malt or hops the beer that is produced doesn't taste like beer. Most times they way over do the flavor and totally destroy the beer. The end result tastes like the flavor being infused and watered down beer. There are very few examples where the flavor makes the beer better Dogfish Head’s Punkin is one and this real ale is another.

This beer is beautifully crafted. It is a great late night cold weather beer to warm you up and sooth your soul. Hurry up and get it though, because it will go fast.
