The founder of Souther Star was a brew master at St Arnold's. And like every great soux chef he has left his nest to make a go of it on his own. He has set up shop in Conroe Texas and so far so good. He has really found a winner with the Blond Bombshell. I have has the pine oak ale and it is ok but this blond beauty really lives up to the name.

Don’t let the fact that this beer is sold in the six pack throw you off. It really is a star. This beer has a perfect light golden color and an amazing taste. It also has a great balance between the hops and the malt to make a very drinkable beer.

This is a perfect beer for warm weather in your back yard. It would go wonderfully with crawfish or with a competitive game of  washers. It really is one of the better blonds that I have tried.

I actually like the fact that this beer is in the can. I know, bottles taste better but finally a beer us beer snobs can take to a party so we don’t have to drink a beer with “light” on the bottle.  If you can find it go pick yourself up a sixer.
